This page lists plant species that can be found throughout Tzeco. This list is of course non exhaustive.

Tlu Tzicoza

The name translates as “water antennae”, a reference to the plant’s barbed structure.

Tlu tzicoza grows in wet areas, fields are often organized in terraces. Its sticky barbs are used to capture mikwit (another plant) that is then digested by the tlu tzicoza. This plant is used to make fabric; the barbs are dried, beaten and then combed into fibers that can be spun into thread.

Djeruse vizo

“Braided vines” grow on damp cavern ceilings. They keep their soma in hanging pockets whose sweet scent attract all sorts of insects. The plant’s soma essence then gets stuck to the insect’s feet, allowing for essence exchange between vines.

The soma pockets can also be plucked and eaten or pressed into juice, but the vines’ tendency to grow high up makes it more of opportunistic harvest.

Mikwit

Mikwit are tiny, bioluminescent, airborne plants that were mistaken for animals for a long time. Their structure is composed of a soma pocket and two ribbons that catch even the tiniest air flows and sends the bean into acrobatics. Varieties of mikwit can be found all around Tzeco, varying in color and size, but they are most common in the same areas as tlu tzicoza and djeruse vizo. Mikwit is also sometimes grown in big quantities for events where the beans are thrown into the air for an enchanting effect.
